For Pride Month, H&M just set a new Guinness World Record for the “Most People Attending a Drag Brunch.” At a time when drag events are being protested and entertainers from the LGBTQIA+ community are being threatened for what they do, H&M is doubling down on its efforts to support Pride and inclusivity for all.
Recently, a record-breaking 412-person drag brunch was held in Brooklyn, New York and it featured nearly two hours of performances featuring Aquaria, Dragon Sisters, Vena Cava, Victoria Holiday, Serena Tea, Mo’Riah and Janelle No.5. This event supported one of the retailer’s longtime collaborators and co-hosts, the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, and its work protecting and defending the human rights of Black transgender people.
Earlier this month, the brand relaunched its My Chosen Family campaign, spotlighting the important role non-biological families play in the LGBTQIA+ community.
