Drag-Inspired Fashion Shows

Ervin Latimmier’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection was showcased as part of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s New Talent program. The presentation celebrated the vibrancy and tenacity of the drag world as the silhouettes were introduced through a distinctive narrative led by the designer’s drag queen persona, Anna Conda.

The runway presentation blends elements from Latimmier’s previous collections, culminating in a thought-provoking exploration of societal norms and power dynamics through the lens of fashion. The collection takes cues from the archetypes of influential men portrayed in North American cinema and television, particularly referencing ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and its commentary on the attire worn by men in positions of authority. Deconstruction emerges as a central theme, with garments featuring “contrast-stitched suiting” artfully wrapped in tight bandages, symbolically restricting mobility.

The Spring/Summer 2024 collection presents a continuation of Ervin Latimmier’s evolving design philosophy.
