The Runway of Dreams Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity in the fashion and beauty industries for individuals with disabilities, is making a return to the spotlight during New York Fashion Week with an Adaptive fashion show titled ‘A Fashion Revolution.’ This unique event is presented by the online retailer Zappos and aims to showcase the transformative impact and potential of Adaptive and Universally Designed apparel, footwear, and products.
One of the notable highlights of The Runway of Dreams Foundation’s show is the runway debut of Victoria’s Secret and PINK’s first-ever Adaptive Intimates collection. ‘A Fashion Revolution’ will feature 70 models with varying disabilities and backgrounds. Some of the Canadian talents in the show include Monika Myers for Kohl’s and Dijibril “Champ” Kande for Tommy Hilfiger.
